        Prohibits discrimination against women breastfeeding
        in public.

HB 2273 HD2      RELATING TO THE HAWAII CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND
         HHS, WAMApproporiates funds into Hawaii Children's
        Trust from the Hawaii tobacco settlement special fund
        to be used for prevention of child abuse and neglect.

HB 1846 HD1      MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE GOOD
BEGINNINGS
        ALLIANCE                                    HHS,WAM
        Appropriates funds for Good Beginnings Alliance;
        requires matching funds from private sector.

HB 2277 HD1      RELATING TO HAWAII TOBACCO SETTLEMENT 
        SPECIAL FUND                                HHS,WAM
        Prohibits supplanting or diminishing of funds from DOH
        budget through tobacco settlement moneys.

HB 2746 HD1        MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PEER
        EDUCATION PROGRAM.                          HHS,WAM
        To aid teens who are at risk through the DOH Peer
        Education Program; maintains program at 26 schools and
        establish PEP at ten new schools.

HB 1836  REPEALING SECTION 327E-13(G), HAWAII REVISED STATUTES

        Removes the pregnant women exemption from the Uniform
        Health Care Decisions Act.




HB 536 HD2 RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES                  HHS,WAM
        Extends life of the Good Beginnings Alliance; expands
        the membership of the Interdepartmental Council;
        expands the representation of the GBA Board of
        Directors.

HB 540 HD2 RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES                  HHS,WAM
        Allows and appropriates funds to DOH to provide
        medical assistance to legal immigrants; amends tobacco
        settlement fund to support the S-CHIP program.

testimony wiith two holes on top to the committee clerk, Room
228, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may
also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate
Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free
for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.
When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being
submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required
number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
